Plants

Introduction

We have a climate in which it is possible to grow a very large range of plants. In the past water conservation was rarely considered during the process of plant selection.

Choosing fewer "Water Guzzlers" in favour of tough drought tolerant plants can play a significant role in saving water.

To help in selection the Water Corporation has implemented the 1, 2 and 3 drop classification system.

This PLANTS Topic is divided into a range of subtopics that will discuss wateruse charateristics of plants and how they relate to the 3 drop classification system.
