Introduction

Irrigation controllers are often the heart of an automatic irrigation system. However, even though they are getting more sophisticated, Controllers are not intelligent.

They just do what they are programmed to do, so poor programming and the "set and forget" practice of many homeowners leads to a lack of seasonal adjustments which can lead to controllers wasting water. After all how many times have we all seen sprinklers on even though it is raining?
